The London Poultry Show is an annual event that runs for two days in April at the Western Fair District. Farmers and farming companies are able to show off their work and technology to hopefully gain new business. There were hundreds of vendors present, and even more people coming to see the fair.
This event attracts more than just local Londoners. President of J Dean Williamson Limited, David Williamson, says they like to come to this event because it is so well attended. Cars from as far as Manitoba, Quebec, and even New York were scattered around the parking lot.
Farming on poultry farms isn’t the same as it used to be. The technology for it is advancing every year. Different businesses like 3M, Chicken Farmers of Canada, and Canada Turkey Farmers, were all present and eager to show off what they can do.
3M featured masks, ear protection, and eye protection, as well as suits and disposable coveralls. The company is well versed in equipment for farms and saw a lot of traffic during the two day show.
More innovations in this industry are always up can coming. This was probably the most important part of the show, but possibly a more memorable portion was the free samples, Chicken bacon? Delicious.
