The Organic Works bakery in downtown London lends a unique approach to baked goods. All of their products are vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free.
Victor Alade owns the bakery, and he says that they use many alternative ingredients such as flaxseed and chick pea water in order to fit within their customers’ dietary needs. “Most of our ingredients are certified gluten-free,” he adds. “So we buy it already certified gluten-free, and that’s what we use for everything here.”
Alade says the bakery’s main focus is bringing families together. With an increasing number of food allergies and sensitivities, many families are faced with the struggles of being unable to eat the same foods. By making food that fits within everyone’s needs and still tastes like regular food, every member of the family can enjoy the same products together.
They will also be hosting daily parties in the back garden during the summer, where guests can enjoy a quiet space to relax outside with their baked goods. Located at 481 Ridout Street North at the Eldon House, they are only a few blocks away from London’s central hub.
