The Fanshawe intramural hockey Championship game has been played, and the Tropics are this years champions. After defeating Flesh Gordon by a final score of 2-1 both teams were already looking forward to next season. This season the league saw something that you never would have thought could of happened. The league saw a massive drop in player turnouts. That raised some questions but, one in particular was “is intramural hockey dying at Fanshawe”. If you would have watched that championship game you would have thought of course not. The response was mixed some thought it was and other’s thought it was not. Overall both teams hope that it is not the case but at the same time did not quite understand where all the players went. After all each player that registers does pay almost 200$ to play so they do not understand why they would not show up. Until next season that question will not be answered but the players still remain optimistic.
