Friday, April 3rd marked the 34th Annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show, which took place at the Western Fair District. The show was started 34 years ago by Olga Traher, to give artisans somewhere to display and sell their work. Daughter -in-law and co-organizer Isabel Traher says the show has been a huge success every year, and brings in thousands of visitors. On top of over a hundred vendors, there was food available for purchase as well.
The show is typically $6 to get in, but this year a coupon was available for download on their website, offering $1 off the entrance fee. Many of the vendors have been there for a few years in a row, and say it’s great way to build their customer base.
Traher added that this year’s turnout was great as expected, and the rainy weather definitely did not keep visitor’s from enjoying the show.
