Everyone knows London for their OHL team the Knights, but that’s not the only successful sports team. The Other is the London Lightning.
The Lightning were found in 2011 and have won the championship back to back in their first 2 seasons of existence in the National Basketball League of Canada. Mind you there only 8 teams in the League, but to be the champion in any league is very impressive.
The Lightning 21-10 so far this season and are playing great ball on the court so it is always a treat seeing them play at the Budweiser Gardens.
What brought most of their fans to the games was this winning nature they have as one fan, Austin Lowe, put it “I’ve been a fan since the 2012 championship”
The Bolts average attendance is reported to be around 5000 people per home game, which isn’t too bad considering the atmosphere the arena is during the game with the crowd chanting and the music blaring! But considering the Budweiser Gardens seats 9,100. The arena could defiantly fill a lot more people inside.
The in-game experience for the Lightning was incredible that everyone would enjoy with dance routines, give-aways and their mascots doing flips and high fiving everyone.
Tickets for a London Lightning game from $14 dollars to $110 dollars to seat court side.
