Maintaining a healthy diet is hard, and finding the funds to support it is even harder.
The London Vegan Food bank is open for everyone, and was created to close gaps in the food bank system, and provide those in need with 100% vegan food products.
It all began when a group of friends in a facebook group decided this is what the London community needed.
Co founder Brennan Moore says “we went from having 20 recipients in 2 months to 50 recipients in 2 weeks… its intense”
He also says that the London community has been an incredible help in donating goods to the food bank.
“the Western fair market, Old South market, Masonville market, we sort of of go to those places with bags and collect, its been amazing the communities been an incredible help in that regard.”
The food bank plans to give back this holiday season by hosting a feast for all recipients
“it would sort of be like a big drop in feast for the holiday times”
Brennan says the feast will be able to feed up to 100 people during the holidays.
