This week in London officers from five area police stations are teaming up with the London police service traffic management unit (TMU) members to fan out across the city to enforce road rules today. Officers from London,Palmer,Stafford,st Thomas,Woodstock and strathroy-caradoc police services will be focused on enforcing traffic law regarding aggressive driving, distracted driving and seat belt use as part of the annual ‘four counties’ traffic initiative. Sargent Sean Harding of the London police department s said ” we need to make sure that our focus is on the road , slowing down ,not being distracted and making extra time in our busy and complicated lives.
car crashes alone have increased by 5.6 percent from 2015 and that can be impart due to distracted driving and impaired driving. sergeant Harding also went on to say ” if you cant control yourself , i get it its just a distraction in life nowadays its part of our lives but if you cant control yourself just put it away” in regards to people being on there cell phones well driving.
