N4E1 (Not For Everyone) is a high-end street-wear clothing store located downtown London on Talbot street. Former Fanshawe student, Kish Charles got the idea of turning his love for street-wear into a business.
He realized how much money people actually spend on hype clothing. Street-wear originally was known as clothing for skateboarders, brands like “Thrasher“, “Supreme“, “Vans“, “Vlone” and more. Over the years street-wear has become very popular but also very expensive. A shirt that has the word “Supreme” on it can be anywhere from $150-$5000.“N4E1 is streetwear. I like to define it as urban posh. It’s like Michael Jordan meets Chanel. Your basic, plain tee, some nice jeans on and then you know, you let the sneakers do the talking.” N4E1 is a shop that resells these clothes.
“The resale game is pretty much what we do. We provide a platform, we do consignment, we buy, we trade we do a lot of that stuff, but reselling is just basically buying something retail, reselling it for a higher profit depending on what that profit is depending on what the market is.” The owner Kish explains.
Kish Charles was in business marketing at Fanshawe seven years ago. The former student started
the idea of reselling as a business in Forwell Hall. He sold hats, shirts, pants and more while he started to make a profit. The Scarborough raised entrepreneur started to build a business for himself. Fast forward, Kish opened his store, N4E1 for business and it was just recently their four-year anniversary. Kish plans on opening more locations since he is doing so well. The store is getting lots of attention from celebrities like Lil Mosey, Fetty Wap, Jacquees and more.
Kish says “I think people just like being comfortable, being comfortable looking good. You know, being in style relates back to that, you look good, you feel good. It’s a mental thing.” Kish explains that’s the reason he thinks street-wear is so popular. People are trying to make a statement but also feeling good.
