Among many things that have been significantly lower this year, the number of eligible people getting their drivers license is at an all time low. The schools are not able to run because of restrictions and some schools will not even run the in-car teaching at this time. This leaves many people who may have just turned 16 left without a way to get their driver’s license. Stratford Future Driving School has hopes to change that and open the opportunity of getting a license to more people than ever.
Anthony Kane, an instructor for Stratford Driving School has had interest in opening his own school but wanted to do it in a way to make it stand out. There are many schools and if you do not bring something unique and appealing to the table, you can get lost in the bunch quite quickly. Anthony explains how he realized what would make his school unique.
“I started trying to find out from the students that I have, what would make their lives easier? Normally a school would have in class teaching and encouraged teaching. Well, a lot of my students were saying that it is very boring, sitting in a classroom. I determined the best way for kids to be more interactive, to learn more is to read and do the material that’s in front of them online.”
At this point in time in the middle of a Pandemic, and in a time of stay-at-home orders, online is something many find more accessible. This new way of taking a driving school program could open the idea of getting their license to more people than ever. But when opening a school one of the most important parts of the process is a good name. Anthony has a story for how that idea dawned on him as well.
“One day I was with a girl student, and I said to her, I said, well, you guys are the future. Therefore, I take it so seriously, because when I leave, I know you are still safe, because I have helped you. Then I came home, and I said to my wife, I know what to call the school, Stratford Future Driving School.”
