Fanshawe College Outside M Building
Foundry First is an apartment just across the street from Fanshawe College. Earlier this week, there was a series of vehicle break-ins in the building’s parking lot. According to Foundry First management, the perpetrator is not a resident and appears to have come with the intent to vandalize and steal from vehicles. Foundry First has acknowledged that this has left some of the residents in the building feeling uneasy.
One of those residents is Paul Watson. Watson expressed his concerns to us by saying “you never know what position someone else might be in, either mentally or financially, where this could mean a lot more to them then it does to you, and if you don’t think it’s a big deal, it might be to someone else that your committing this crime towards.
Vehicle theft and vandalism is unfortunately a prevalent issue in London. Foundry First claims that they are aware of this fact and are working on new safety measures.
These measures include:
- Keeping the parking lot lights on 24/7
- Installing new and better cameras
- Increased security
With these new measures in place, Foundry First is looking ahead to a safer future in London.
