Londoners may want to hit the gas pump to save a little money before the anticipated Tuesday and Wednesday gas spikes at midnight.
According to Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy gas prices in London are expected to rise 9 cents overnight Tuesday to an average price of 160.9 cents per litre.
On Wednesday night, another spike is expected to increase London’s gas by eight cents per litre bringing the expected average cost of to 168.9 cents per litre.
Diesel is expected to increase four cents per litre Tuesday and another seven cents on Wednesday bringing it’s expected average price to 197.9 cents per litre.
A local London driver was surprised to see the increase but understands he cannot avoid the gas pump, “My life is kind of is based off of driving, so regardless of how expensive gas is I just kinda have to deal with the prices.”
