Supper Tasty Brazilian Snacks, the newest addition to Brazilian restaurants in London, has opened its doors and has already been popular amongst members of the community.
” The Brazilian community is growing in London and we’re seeing lots of people stop by to try our savory snacks. Not just Brazilians, we’ve seen people from all over come and see our new place,” says Gilmar Sobral the Co-Owner and partner of Supper Tasty Brazilian Snacks
The restaurant has been such a success already that a new partnership between Sobral and the Owner Walter Chiarato, has marked the beginning of a much bigger project.
“We are bringing a production of ‘Pasteis’ one of Brazil’s most famous and beloved savory foods, to London and our Community.”
To do so, the business will need to go through a series of bureaucratic procedures and approvals before opening fully, a process that will take roughly 3 months. Once fully open, the restaurant that currently runs in a small space will take over the space where the International Bakery used to be at the Market.
“Unfortunately, there are a lot of steps to be followed before we can start the production but the plan is to have it up and running in a few weeks by spring,” added Sobral
The bigger project will continue to offer what is available now including Coxinha, Cheese Bread, Cheese Ball, Brigadeiro, and many other sweet and savory snacks and drinks in addition to the Pasteis.
Sobral hopes to also add with the new project a nice seating area for the customers, a nighttime service and operating hours even during the Market closed hours, as well as an even better delivery service. Once the new project is done the place will change its name from ‘Supper Tasty Brazilian Snacks’ to ‘Love Pastel Brazilian Food’ marking the new partnership.
Sobral says he got the idea for the partnership after attending a Franchise Expo in Toronto and not seeing as much space for Brazilian foods and culture in the country. He decided he wanted to change it and found Walter.
“I noticed at the Expo that there were a lot of other cultures present like Indian, Chinese, Korean and a lack of Brazilian representation, and this was my chance, my opportunity to act and change that”
“I’m so proud to say that 3 years ago I was really concerned and scared about this challenge, especially due to the pandemic and the uncertainties, and look at where we are now. We made it and it is possible,” concluded Sobral
Until the completion of the new project Supper Tasty Brazilian Snacks will continue to operate during regular market hours and will continue to offer some of the best snacks available in Brazil.
