We sat down with Jeff Christmas, a composer and music teacher at Fanshawe, to get a more behind-the-scenes look at his life.
Jeff says his upbringing was very heavily influenced by music with his father working on plays in Sarnia and his mother teaching music.
He first started his career in music on stage for one of his father’s many plays and quickly decided that he loved music but didn’t want to be the star on stage saying “I was on stage for maybe five minutes when I realized that’s not for me”.
This is what led him to try and find a different way to be a part of the music industry without having to be the centre of attention.
This started his musical journey that led him to many places including Berklee School of Music in Boston where he studied to make music for movies but after joining an orchestra in his free time he had finally found his passion.
