“My motto is raise the bar wherever you go, so I had no choice but to keep raising the bar and the Olympics is the perfect place to do it. I felt I had all the support I need to get here. I felt excited, I felt like I was having fun.” says Newman. “I’m on a path in my life where there’s not much I’m distracted from. I have a very great life off the track, I’m happy and so with or without a medal yesterday I would have walked home really really happy,”
