Prom night, a magical experience taken away from many due to Covid-19. However, Fanshawe College is hosting their very own “Second Chance Prom” which gives students a chance to experience this once in a life time event.
Event organizer Sophia Mills says “So it’s the second chance prom, it’s going to be a formal dance to celebrate the end of the year. We’re here to listen to some fun music, have some food, have some drinks. Just celebrate the rest of the year.”
There will be supervisors at the event to make sure things don’t get too rowdy and to make sure everyone has a good time.
Sophia then goes on to say “Right now, we’ve sold over 100 tickets in advance. We’re still accepting tickets at the door. So we’re hoping to have closer to 200. But I’m just happy that 100 people bought tickets in advance.”
As far as what the money is going towards, Sophia says it’s going to cover costs. However, the FSU is open to suggestions on what they can do with the money.
The event is taking place in Forwell Hall from 8 P.M. to Midnight.
