A broken door and a collapsed deck were the remnants of a chaotic house party.
At approximately 1:45am on Saturday, October 1, a house party on Thurman Circle was disrupted when reports that someone had kicked down the door were received by London Police.
London Police deemed it necessary to call in the Emergency Response Team due to the possibility that the situation could escalate.
Dozens of people filed out of the house into the backyard and were then directed to the streets by authorities once on scene.
Some people that were at the party stated that the people that kicked in the door had their faces covered, although police did not provide any comment to confirm.
Caroline Stevens, a Fanshawe student who was at the party, reported that she was in the garage with her friends when the party was disrupted, trapping her.
“A cop helped me through the window of the garage door.”
Authorities were on scene for roughly 90 minutes blocking of part of Thurman Circle.
Police said that no charges were laid during the disruption and no injuries were reported.
Residents were permitted back into their properties once the scene was released and crowds were dispersed by police. No other incidents were reported afterward.
