A London woman is facing many charges in relation to a stolen vehicle. Police were notified of a stolen vehicle from a business in the area of Waterloo street and Oxford street.
A short time after officers saw the reported vehicle in the area of Wonderland road and Oxford street west, they stopped the vehicle, where the driver attempted to flee from police by reversing into police vehicles and fleeing.
The suspect was then arrested a short distance away where the vehicle was pulled over. No injuries were reported.
The suspect, 27, is being charged with the following offenses:
- Theft of a motor vehicle;
- Dangerous operation;
- Operation while prohibited;
- Resist arrest;
- Possession of an identity document;
- Public mischief divert suspicion from self or cause another to be suspected; and,
- Fail to comply with undertaking
Damages of the stolen vehicle and the two damaged police cruisers tallied to $2500. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court.
