After a successful year Fanshawes Ultimate Esports League has set some big new years resolutions. Having made headway in 2018 by adding new games like Fortnite to their roster as, ironing out some of the kinks in their tournament structure, FUEL aims to go big or go home this year with expanding their current model.
“One of the years biggest successes was sending a player to the Canada Cup for Super Smash Bros” FSU ambassador for FUEL Joey Langdon stated.
“Fortnite was a huge risk for us as well but it definitely paid off, that ones really intense actually because everyone really gets immersed and involved.”
Another big project the FUEL kicked off for 2019 is a Twitch stream. Headed up by Colin Burns, A TV broadcast student. The hope with a Twitch stream is to build an interest in FUEL beyond Fanshawe College.
FUEL also hopes to send more competitors to competitions representing the falcons.
