On March 23, a robbery was reported on Anderson Road in Brantford, Ontario. Police investigations found that four armed men had entered the home, assaulting and robbing the two men in the house. One of the victims would receive treatment for minor injuries. Local residents reacted in horror that something like this could happen so close to their own homes, including one resident in particular named Sharon.
She says that this incident reminds her of a robbery that had happened to her, in which the invaders took a lot of ‘important things’ to her, including her engagement ring and items that had belonged to her now-deceased daughter.
Just a few days later, on Monday the 27th, the four men and a female accomplice who police say acted as their ‘getaway driver’ would be arrested.
In addition to the breaking and entering and assault charges, the four men would also be charged with drug possession as cocaine had been found in their car.
