Ukraine-Russia war has affected thousands of people. in order to save themselves and their families people decided to leave the country and moved to some other places. Being a democratic country and a member of NATO, Canada has always helped other countries in need. To help people in Ukraine Canadian government has provided work visas and study visas to people. even hasprovided super visas to Ukraine.
A sigh of relief is there on the faces of people who have moved out of Ukraine with their families. But, still there are some cases in which only one person per family, Moved out to help their families financially and to raise hope in their hearts that things can work for us.
Danyil shelkoyski, an international student in Fanshawe college tells how difficult it is for them as they are always scared what next. “its terrible, there is bombing always and you feel scared,]. Its difficult, I was there in Ukraine when war started, and I have witnessed that. I am always checking news. Its awful.”
Unfortunately, people are not able to get back to their families or their families are not able to get out of those situations. However, they chose to move out and build a new life. Canadian government is not only supporting people to move out but, is also providing help to government by sending defence equipment’s to the country.
Being a muti-cultured country, Canadian people have always welcomed everyone with smiling faces and open hearts. This is what Lilia kutina felt when she started her own business in Canada. She is a semi permanent make up artist. She was very popular in her country. After what has happened, she gained her confidence and started her business in London, Ontario. She has felt that acceptance from people.
“yeah, people are responding towards my business. When I first started there was nothing, but now as I am approaching people and tell them about permanent make up, they are responding. I can see a growth in my business more people are getting attached.”
Canada has provide thousands of people a ray of hope and will continue to do so. However, there are many news organisations who have organised job fairs to help people to get financially stable. Even danyil shelkoyski is trying to arrange some funds to help frontline workers and military of Ukraine by providing a drone- DJI Mavic 3. His idea of doing this will help military to keep an eye around so that they can protect themselves.
Danyil says,” please help, donate some money, Skip getting a meal for one time and donate that money. It can help to save millions…. DOESN’T MATTER WHO YOU ARE, WHERE YOU COME FROM. YOU NEED TO BE HUMAN FIRST AND HELP SOMEONE IN NEED.”
