Fanshawe College recently celebrated Ramadan with a special event organized by the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU) in collaboration with the Muslim Students’ Association (MSA) and other college partners. Stephin Sathya, the president of FSU, shared his experience attending the event and emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive community on campus.
Sathya expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “It was great to be part of an event that celebrates diversity and supports different faiths on campus. The collaboration between the FSU, MSA, and college partners truly showcases our commitment to creating an inclusive environment at Fanshawe.”
He also emphasized the significance of the event in bringing people together through food, stating, “Food has the power to unite people, and events like this highlight the importance of supporting those who may not have access to such resources. It’s a reminder of the need to take care of our community members.”
Despite limitations on the number of attendees due to capacity restrictions, Sathya noted that the event was well-coordinated and smoother than the previous year’s, thanks to better preparation and organization. He expressed satisfaction with the turnout and the positive feedback received from students.
